WOW!! Might have to have a looky at that then as I currently use Orijen which is 75% no cereals. Seems reasonably priced too esp as the Orijen is now £39:95 for 7kg

Re: Applaws New Dry Cat Food Available Now!

My cats have tried the new Applaws dry too and they like it (but then they never refuse dried food even though it's not good for them!)
It does seem to be better quality than most other dry foods although I would still be very concerned at the low moisture content and inclusion of vegetables (potato) and would not want to feed it other than as an occasional treat. At least the price is competitive too )

Ahhh thankies for that. I wandered what else was in it apart from the high meat content I have been feeding raw the last couple of months aswell but like to leave the dried down too it's just hard to know which one to use lol

Re: Applaws New Dry Cat Food Available Now!

I have 2 cats that even growl when they eat it - I have never experienced that with a dry food before.. hehe

The biscuits are nice and small too - the adult biscuits arent much bigger than RC Babycat - but they have this really jaggedy shape which I imagine is good for teeth cleaning too...

Since the trial I have been using it as my main dry food along with the rest of teh things I give - everyone is happy - coat condition is great and the litter trays didnt change at all when I moved over to it...

We had two challenges in making the food, the first was the ash content was too high (due to high meat) and also we needed to deliver some carbohydrate, we solved both of these by adding a small amount of potatoe. You can never please all of the people all of the time, although I think we have done an excellent job in comparison to the big boys.
