Re: Any Gourmet Perle addicts out there?

I didn't even know about the high sugar content! I guess that makes sense, maybe I need to look more at that than at the flavour/texture. Although I think there definitely is a fussy element because he wouldn't eat even when there was 1 teaspoon of grau or smilla in with a whole sachet of gourmet, he bloody KNEW and wouldn't touch the whole bowl! Hot water didn't help...mushing didn't help...scattering a bit of dry on top didn't help... at the moment he is in good health, so I'm not worried about any particular conditions, but prevention is always better than cure!

PS I think I might have discovered something though, my OH had swapped around where the food bowls were on the mat a while ago because he pulls a lot of the wet food out of the bowl and it was getting onto the carpet aswell as the mat, so he put it in the middle, and I tried this morning swapping them back, and some of the wet that is out has gone, which is quite unusual in the morning he doesn't seem to want to eat a lot.

PS If Gourmet is high in refined sugar, anyone know what the next nearest thing for sugar is? Maybe I could work him down the sugaryness, even if it means felix or something, just to get the sugar down bit by bit?

i know I shouldn't laugh, but it comes to something when we are dictatated to by a ball of fluff

I really have tried Molly on most things, but she knows it's not what she likes. I would rather she ate gourmet than nothing! Every now and then I try her with something else, Animonda Carny is next, in the hope she changes her mind
