Do you put your cat food dishes in the dishwasher with your cups and plates etc. or do you wash them separately?

I do mine separately.

Also, does your cat have its own dishes or do you sometimes just give it one of your plates or dishes?

Mine go in the dishwasher usually. They have their own dishes and I don't use any of mine for them.

I wash them separately but this is because they eat before us and I wash their bowls before I feed them - I don't use a dishwasher though. Also, they have their own bowls.

Thanks MoggyBaby. I will definitely go on the link you sent me. There's so much interesting stuff here on PF to read, but not enough time!!! Will have to try and keep up in future - could be something to do with having 2 kittens which is taking all my time up.

My cats have their own sponge and a bottle of sunlight dishwashing liquid for their bowls and drinker.

We don't have a dishwasher. Out cat bowls are washed up by hand after all the human washing up has been done. I just do it in the same water but at the end.

I wash the dishes after every meal, separate to my own dishes as I consider it more hygienic (not just for me but for the kittens too as I'm not I want their dishes to have washing up liquid on so I just use boiling water and a separate brush )

Obviously, I wash my cat food dishes separately. And, my pets have their own personal food dishes and water bowls.
