Re: think my kitten has dwarfism.....

He is very very cute but I also noticed straight away, looking at his pic, that his head seemed bigger compared to his body. Don't stop him being a gorgeous wee furry bundle though!!!!!

Please tell us you got him insured before all of this came up otherwise he could become a very EXPENSIVE and interesting patient.......

Re: think my kitten has dwarfism.....

I'm glad to hear that he seems to be improving - is there any update?

As for the original photo, to me he looks like a kitten who is either very sick or has recently recovered from being very sick. I have had kittens looking like that after recovery from diarrhoea at that sort of age (it can knock them way way back as often they refuse to eat for days afterwards and have to be kept going with fluids). The difference is I haven't been trying to sell them in that condition

Re: think my kitten has dwarfism.....

Hi All,

he is doing really well......SO lively its untrue! he has doubled his weight since we got him however hasnt grown a huge amount still! i would say he is a few inches bigger maximum. Apart from his size he is a compeltly healthy kitten.

He did have bad diarrheoa for a week which knocked him back a lot but he has fully bounced back now. I though that might have stopped him growing and he would start again once he was ok, but he isnt really growing much at all!

I will try to post a picture soon as i can!

aww I can't wait to see him again he's gorgeous

I'm sure the vet will want to keep in close contact anyway if he is an unusual case for him and he will keep you informed on his health

from what you've said he does seem to be a happy little healthy kitten now just a tiny one haha
