Re: Help with worming treatments please
I do my adults once every 6 mths, I prefer panacur. That regime was agreed with my vet who felt that was sufficient for indoor cats with a controlled environment and the diet they are on.

Re: Help with worming treatments please
once again. Advocate is the only UK preventative for lungworms. Panacur is used to treat/kill lungworms if the animal is already infected, but it will not protect your pet from getting them again Advocate is the only treatment that will do this in the UK. normal treatment is 3 to 5 days on Panacur i think to kill them. but you will need to get some Advocate to keep it from happening again if your pet is at risk. it's rare for cats though as most won't eat slugs and snails.

Re: Help with worming treatments please
I wonder if the vet has considered asthma? A couple of years ago I rehomed an Ocicat boy, a stud who I'd had neutered - soon after he'd gone to his new home he developed a cough - the vet initially thought lungworm, but further testing revealed asthma. Cassius has to have medication but is otherwise in excellent health now.
