Cat gravy

Random question, I know. But is there such a thing as gravy for cats?

Have recently found out Bodie will pretty much eat anything in gravy. Which is great because he's always been a fussy bugger with foods in jelly. Have been feeding the Bozita in gravy. But thought if there was such a thing, I could just grab some natures menu from p@h. I have no problems ordering online, but for easiness I'd like to also have something I can grab if I forget to order or there's a delivery delay.

I assume our gravy is a no no as it is with dogs, due to salt etc. But I know you can get dog gravy from CSJ and wondered if there was a cat one?

Or maybe I could mash up a bit of the natures menu with water and make a gravy? Would that be okay?

Cheers.

Re: Cat gravy

You could try mashing it up with water to make it more like a gravy itself (if your cat can be fooled that is). Out of interest, what is in the dog one? Would that itself be suitable?

Re: Cat gravy

This is the dog one I've tried before.

Gravy Works! - Natural Treats and Supplements - CSJK9 Ltd.

I have just mashed some up with warm water, i'll leave it to cool and try poring it over some chopped up natures menu later.

Re: Cat gravy

Look at the ingredients of that product hun: Fruit (min 39% Tomato Powder), Cereal, Herbs (min 12% Mint), Various Sugars, Meat & Animal Derivatives, Yeast.

Personally, I would just try adding some warm water to the food to make it more gravy-like than using something like this.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks.

I've mashed some up so Ill see if he eats it. I can but try lol.

I actually ordered the bozita gravy by mistake, but he's been wolfing it down for a few months now, much much more of a hit than anything in jelly.

Bonus is (I hope I don't jinx it) he's having an almost all wet diet and has stopped over grooming, he has fur on his tum and back legs for the first time in a year and is off the steroids and antibiotics .

Chyna will still only touch applaws lol. But she's 14, I'll let her off.

Re: Cat gravy

Is that any worse than the gravy that comes with foods with gravy?

Re: Cat gravy

Declan loves gravy too. I've never found any cat gravy but i just mash up his food really well and mix in water - he now has this every meal. Works really well with the pate type foods. The extra fluid has helped to get rid of his dandruff and i like to think it will help keep his kidneys healthy too.
