Which fountain to buy?

We have a Catit dome fountain and also one of the small Catit fountains. The small one was bought as it fitted into the crate and left plenty of room for everything else, especially a cat, however it is a real pain to reassemble after cleaning and it leaks if you don't get it just right.

The dome version looks cool, and is OK but also is fiddly to reassemble.

So, having read reviews and the thread on the next page in here I am still not sure which one to go for next. I am tempted by the Drinkwell although neither cat has ever drunk from a tap but will drink from the Catits.

Aside from that, does anyone know which is better - the Catmate or the Petmate? The reviews I have been reading seem to confuse the two, so just as I think I have it worked out I read something else and am not sure which one has been reviewed, people seem to get them mixed up and review the wrong one.

Re: Which fountain to buy?

I have the Cat Mate one and it is very quiet, easy to clean and assemble.Wish Meeko was less inclined to paddle in it and try to rearrange its components But when he is not in destruct mode he does drink from it

Re: Which fountain to buy?

Thanks Buffie.

Have you been using it for long?

Am looking for easy assembly and durability.
