Re: Greedy, overweight cat
I have a 6 month old kitten that eats like a horse and will nick my other cats food as well if i let him, i have never had a cat like this before and is so greedy, always jumping on the kitchen counters for "our" food.
Drives us mad. ![]() ![]() Not sure what we can do about it, i just lock him out of the kitchen now when i am in the kitchen and also watch him when he is eating. ![]() |

Re: Greedy, overweight cat
Tizzi, have you thought about getting him a treat ball? You can put some dry food (but only a bit) in it and let him work for the food. But be sure to subtract the amount of dry from his daily allowance.
Or feed them in different rooms if possible. Can I ask why you're hoping to rehome him? Quote:

Re: Greedy, overweight cat
I don't think there is a "better way" as such, because he's always going to feel like Tilly is getting more than him because she gets to eat more often than him. From experience of having a similarly greedy cat, I can say he will get used to it and come to accept it eventually, as long as you give him set meal times and don't deviate from them.
