really worried :(

Hey guys,

I posted a while back that we were having some problems with NI minces and Jango vomiting. Well, he vomited today after other foods as well. Exactly the same thing.

Am taking him straight to the vet. Am hoping it was just a hair ball as he was dry wretching the day before yesterday as if he was trying to bring something up but it was quite alot and 4 times in total. 2 lots of solid and then 2 lots of stomach acid. There was something in the middle that looked like hairball, but the rest was undigested food

Am worried now as it was the only other food next to the NI I had found that he really liked (Hi-life potty for fish)

HELP?

x

Re: really worried :(

well, not sure how I feel.

The vet said she thought he was fine. Membranes are a good colour and he is perky in himself. He has also gained 200g in the last 4 weeks. Couldn't take his temperature as he was too distressed when she tried (MUCH mewling and resisting)

Nothing to feel in his abdomen at all.

Been told to come back if it continues and just avoid the food that this happened on not much use though as I am now back at square one...

Additionally when we got back Jango was super stressed and foaming at the mouth like CRAZY. He has now settled in his cat tree. Thats completely out of character for him normally he just gets out and goes about his business

poor baby.

Not sure I should go away now. My Brother is due to come and flat and cat-sit for me. He is super responsible (Officer in the Army) so I know he'd take good care of him but I still feel bad... but I have booked and paid for everything in Glasgow. Feel terrible.

Re: really worried :(

awwww it's not easy to leave them even if they are super fit, so I can imagine how you feel thinking you baby isn't very well.

As you say though your brother is very responsible and I'm sure if god forbid anything was to go wrong whilst you are away, I'm sure he will be able to sort it for you.

Only you can decide whether to go away, I know you will probably spend the whole time worrying, but if it's all paid for ...... I dont know it's really hard (((hugs)))
