When I went back for his second vaccination i told the vets all of this and they checked his temp, felt his tummy, checked hydration etc. The vet thought his temp was borderline so said to come back the next day and also gave me Prokolin. After the prokolin his stools became runny and the next day we saw a different vet and his temperature was fine so he had the second vaccination and the vet was not worried about his stools. This time he was ok but His stools remained runny and one night even contained some mucous and a small amount of blood. So in the morning I put him on chicken and rice but he was still runny with no mucous or blood so took away the rice. He then had one bowel movement that was like toothepaste but yellow. I phoned the vets who said it was a positive sign that the texture had improved and recommended getting some Hills Id. He started having very small amounts of the hills id mixed with chicken and didnt have a bowel movement for the next 36 hours. Which then i was a bit worried in case he may be going the other way so increased the amountt of the id. Last night he had a bowel action that was the right colour and was formed but slightly runny at the edges! So I was thinking great! so continued increasing the Id but today he had a bowel movement that was the right colour but was quite runny again. He has remained completely active and normal in every other way throughout and his hydration levels have been fine throughout.

Ah, looking back over your old posts it wasn't the vet who advised you to try the ID, it was the receptionist. I would make an appointment with the vet and discuss his poop problems with them.
After a bout of a diarrhoea, it can happen that they don't poop for a number of days. It is hard to say whether your current problem is down to you introducing the ID too quickly, whether it is the ID itself that is causing a problem or whether both are completely coincidental and something else entirely is going on. Considering that this has been going on for a wee while now I would make a vet appointment and explain in detail what is going on.
