Kiskasiberians will become famous soon enough
Re: Feeding Raw

A raw diet helps in most cases of IBS IBD or constant diarrheoa. I got into raw feeding because the Siberians can sometimes have a reaction to the carbs in processed foods. Since the switch I have had no food related problems.

Just wondering whether a raw diet alongside a sensitive biscuit would help.

I will give it a go then!!! I tried mince last night but I have heard that rabbit is really good for them too. What do you feed yours on mainly? And what biscuits do you feed alongside?

Have you tried rabbit with the bengals? I know 10 breeders of bengals who feed almost nothing but rabbit.
cheers for the idea of rabbit not tried it yet and it has been suggested to me before. i just forgot! lol i work with animals and vets daily so i get lots of updates on the parasite info

any meat be it frozen before feeding or not is subject to flies or other parasites in your home landing on it when it's in the bowl if left out for too long. but who's to say what's too long? in the summer months some flying insects can land on it just as you put it down. so just as a precaution regular worming should be part of the regime.

Re: Feeding Raw

The raw diet does make a huge difference, especially with cats with runny tums.

Thanks - I am now going to try him on the RC hypo diet and also raw rabbit I think as he hasn't had that before so shouldn't have an intolerance to it.

Fingers crossed as I don't think I can cope with much more diarrhoea!!! No doubt Oscar feels the same!

Re: Feeding Raw

Remember that mince should have been frozen previous to feeding it.

calm... lol

they should be fine as you worm with a broad spectrum wormer regularly. meat that hasn't been frozen first can have parasites in them. but so can unfrozen meat that's left down so i wouldn't panic.
