yes but its cheaper because depending on the brand there is more filler and depending on how much filler there is in the dry food the end result from the cat will be smellier. Also less moisture is not a good thing especially for boy cats, and many cats will not not drink water. There is no proof either regarding the buildup of tartar and in any event chicken wings are probably better

so there is no benefit to the cat only humans

It's also not necessarily cheaper. The Orijen my cats are having at the moment is over £10 per kg.

Regarding moisture content, 80% is NOT excessive. It's about the same amount of moisture as cats would consume as part of a natural diet.

Quite! Apart from which... my cats occasionally have a little RC British Shorthair Biscuit and I kid you not, the stuff is huge and looks more like something you'd give to a medium sized dog. Only one of my cats will 'crack' it ONCE before swallowing and the rest don't chew it at all.
