Does anyone do this?
When your kitten has got so-called 'dirty trousers' do you do the baby powder and comb thing?
I have been told that a good way of cleaning kitten's bum area if it made a bit of a mess when using cat litter tray, is to rub baby powder into the fur to sort of dry things up and then use an old comb to comb the mess out. What sort of comb would you use - fine tooth or wide tooth? Surely the comb would be in rather a state afterwards and if it was a metal one and you attempted to clean it, well perhaps it might go rusty. If you don't use this method, can you tell me what you do use and are you a fan of baby powder? |

Re: Does anyone do this?
Happens all the time with Molly
She has such a fluffy behind and tail, she cant help herself!! I get the groomer to clip her back legs and bum area to keep it to a minimum and just use a wet cloth to wipe her down, it's like having a baby!! ![]()

Jenny - 'It's like having a baby' - my thoughts exactly.
Perhaps we need a baby changing mat and all those other things which little babies require! Sometimes I wonder if it is the way my kitten positions himself in the cat litter tray that makes it so he leaves more on his bum than actually what goes in the tray. It's the fluff though that makes it a bad job to do. When I've done I feel like I've used half a kitchen roll, half a toilet roll, half a bag of cotton wool and loads of water. |
