Pyrrha continued :(
Ugh, I thought we were good.. I let her eat a small amount of NI mince this evening and back it came, about 2 hours later. She was sick/regurgitated next to the litter tray at which point I noticed a big old liquid poo in there aswell which obviously will have had nothing to do with the mince..
Completely confused now. She was perfectly fine yesterday! ![]()

Re: Pyrrha continued :(
Oh shoot. So, she was fine on the plain chicken diet and a little bit of wet food but barfs raw food back up? This could be complete coincidence though and anything other than plain food is currently upsetting her. Has her stool been tested?
Could she be not good with beef? How frustrating. ![]() |

Re: Pyrrha continued :(
That's how it seems. She had wet food for every meal yesterday with no nasty consequences and two wet meals today, followed by the little NI - the runny poo must be down to a meal previous to that though surely? So is she intolerant to the wet food aswell? Argh.
Her stool wasn't tested, because this is the first time it's been loose. Beforehand it was purely from the other end.

Re: Pyrrha continued :(
Could it be that the stool was loose purely for the reason that perhaps you moved her on to the wet food too quickly; i.e. didn't mix it in with the bland diet slowly enough?
Still doesn't explain why she is pukey with raw. Perhaps if she is ok with wet food, then just feed her that for a while before trying some more raw. |

Re: Pyrrha continued :(
I'm not an expert, but just a thought/suggestion I'm going to throw out here.
The other day I was reading about humans and lactose allergy and some can be so sensitive that they can't even eat beef because it contains the same proteins as the milk. I know that some cats can be lactose intolerant but is the above even possible with cats? |

Re: Pyrrha continued :(
Interesting, I have no idea though! Could be possible I guess.
Going back to chicken today and will try to rectify my bad parenting by doing the wet food thing gradually.
