Grooming a shorthair advice

Hi,
(Not sure if this is in right section so feel free to move it Mod if its not)

What products would you recommend for grooming a normal shorthaired moggy? Brushes, combs etc?

Are those gloves any good which have a small comb section on them? I just want something to try to help keep the loose hairs off him. Any tips?

Here is a pic so you can see his coat. Just a standard shorthair

what a beautiful kitty!!
i use a wide teeth flea comb. those gloves seem like hard work as you have to clean them.

I used to use a brush like this Soft Pin Slicker By Mikki | Pets at Home and also found that a "zoom groom" was good while they were on my lap.It seemed to sooth them and remove loose hair, but you have to be careful and not get carried away or you could remove more hair than you meant to Cat Zoom Groom Cat Brushes for Sale
