Wormers and side effects
Last time Maisie was treated she was given Profender, she didn't react well to it and I will not use it again. I have read about even worse reactions than she had, although some cats are fine with it, she is clearly not one of those.
I need to find one that will deal with lungworms, and am wondering which one to ask for when I go to the vet. Can anyone advise please? She never has fleas, which I find strange but she is not the only cat I have known not to get them, however, in view of her little cough I want to cover all possibilities. I will be getting the vet to administer it so it doesn't need to be easy to do at home. |

Re: Wormers and side effects
If lungworm is confirmed then as far as I remember you need a 10-day course of Panacur for all the strains. Better to get a diagnosis first though.
However as a routine wormer I find it very easy to administer and have never noticed any side-effects with mine. Doesn't cover tapeworm or hookworm? though. |
