Pet Plan told me their prices were based upon average London vets plus average London accidents, which are more road related than illness related.

Indoor/outdoor doesn't figure into it as I guess they think any cat has the 'potential' to go outdoors, and they can't really check and see if an owner does actually keep their cats indoors.

I had budgeted £50 pcm for my cats for insurance, so the fact that I finally went with Vets Medicover at £28 pcm meant I saved £22 per month...only to end up spending that amount on toys instead

Funnily enough I just had this conversation with the vet nurse at Companion care PAH...she recommends Petplan first...then either Argos or Homebase! Argos do seem to offer good value and also seem to offer £20-30 cash back from Quidco which I always use.
