Re: The Hermann Cat Food

I'll tell you one thing that I discovered the other week - Thrive cat treats are about half that price in Morrisons!!
Haven't tried the Hermanns food - I think it would be too expensive for me. With 16 cats to feed I do have to make at least some attempt at economy

I have and they really liked it. You don't get much in a sachet though. That said, I am just about to order more.

OOOOOH! my girls will chew through the container if i leave it in reach! I will have to find the local Morrisons. Not been to one since i move to this side of town. I know there's one near by, the other one i know of is in Bridgwater which is a bit of a hike now. Cheers for the tip! Point noted about the expense of it. They're on Natures Menu and JWB with a splash of Hills TD at the moment. But I think i'm going to move them on to something with less cereal. Had a look at Erbsli's teeth the other day and she had the evil red line on her gums!! Trouble has never had any teeth or gum issues, but it would seem Erbsli is a bit more susceptible so I will have to be a bit more vigilant with the diet choices. At the moment it's only the two of them, but when the kittens come i will have to keep my pennies in more. What do you recommend for the wet diets? I'm still trying to get them on raw, Trouble eats raw chicken pieces but not the wings, erbsli is VERY picky she doesn't like cooked or raw chicken but likes the thrive treats. Beef is the same she won't touch it. But i'm workin on it.

Re: The Hermann Cat Food

For wet food I mainly use Bozita, Cosma, HiLfe, and Applaws. Have to admit to still using Felix as good as it looks though! (one of my stud boys is very fussy about his food but he does like the Felix)
They also get raw minced beef, lamb or rabbit several times a week, and cooked chicken or white fish. I tried the raw chicken wings and only a couple of them showed any interest

yeah my next step is to dust the wings in thrive dust and see if she goes for it. She's not one for trying new things but sometimes she will try it the second time you put it down. picky lil booger!!

Re: The Hermann Cat Food

I spent £139.96 on ZooPlus today

All I got was 3 x 10kg of dry food and 1 bed.....

I am hoping the food will last now until February as I already have some here now.

I get my wet food from Pets@Home usually or Sainsburys with the fresh stuff.

Try dumsticks, mine won't touch wings but will chew their way through a drumstick. They haven't got the idea of eating all the bone yet, but will give the soft joint end a good go. They won't touch thighs though
