Im fostering for the RSPCA I have had them since they were about 3 weeks old but they have been being handreared by RSPCA since they were 3 days old.

But thanks anyway!!

Re: OMG post worming

I have a mantra for this kind of situation. Repeat with me:

"better outside than inside"
"better outside than inside"
"better outside than inside"

Feeling better? If not, repeat again.

Re: OMG post worming

Im sure I am going to have nightmares lol but yes I agree better outside than inside and these poor babies need to start getting some weight on they are roughly 7 weeks old now and they are 404gms, 465gms and 530gms (Tilly, Toby, and Tango) Tango was the one who sneezed out the worm so god knows what poor Tilly has got inside her!!

Re: OMG post worming

Have they been treated for lung worm?

I once had a little kitten called Smudge from what used to be the CPL. We had her for only a short time.

She was wormed and de-flead before she came to us and we were told to expect dead worms coming out both ends in the few days after we collected her.

One night she sneezed and one came out of her nose dead. The next morning I found her dead in her litter tray The vet said she was just so riddled with worms it got the better of her. Back then I wasn't as clued up on kitty health matters, but thinking back I suspect it was lung worm, and I don't think she was treated for that

A cautionary tale. Please check the worming treatment to be sure they have been covered for lung worm as well.

Yeah I also quite like the ones in the garden but roundworms and tapeworms are just blurghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I knew the worms could make kittens sick but NEVER expected to see one coming out of the nose!!!!

It deffo looked like a roundworm, I hope I dont find any of them dead, they seem 'healthy' if I can say that considering the worms and their weights, they are bright and playing etc Im not sure if Panacur covers lungworm but it is what is used for small kittens, they are too small to have any other form of wormer I think.

Panacur Fenbendazole Wormers
Panacur wormer contains Fenbendazole in liquid, paste and granule form. Can be used for cats and dogs for the treatment of roundworms, tapeworms (not effective against Dipylidium caninum the 'flea tapeworm'), lungworms and Giardia.

Probably the most user friendly wormer for kittens/puppies. x
