neighbour feeding foxes disgusting leftovers etc

my neighbour keeps leaving out food for the foxes, it is stuff like left over lamb, beef burgers and chicken etc. but i have also seen them put out dead rabbits and ducks. not only is this bad for the foxes but my cats are starting to eat it and due to them eating it they are having really bad runny poo. im not sure what to do about it as i have spoken to them and they still do it and its also not possible to stop my cats going near it or being able to get to it

Re: neighbour feeding foxes disgusting leftovers etc

I would keep my cats in for the time being and report them (the neighbours) to the Enviromental Health people for it being being a health hazard and encouraging vermin in to the area.

thats what ive tried doing but they need to catch them in the act so they would need an exact day and time but it varies so its not possible to catch them which is really annoying

I can see where you are coming from but I think it's a difficult one, however, it would be very difficult for environmental health to actually do anything if it were on private property would it not? After all where would you draw the line? Not feeding birds, hedgehogs etc?

In all seriousness I know people that have been reported and ordered to remove bird feeding stations

There must surely have been a lot more to it than being "ordered" to remove bird feeding stations

I think this happens when there are so many feeding areas and so much food put out that it attracts rats
I wouldn't be happy if my neighbours left food out for foxes either. They raid the bin bags here on collection days (foxes not neighbours )

Yes, neigbours complained that the bird feeders were attracting rats, which they actually weren't (arose from a non relevant petty dispute). Even though they all had feeder trays underneath the council still made them take them down.
