I always used to have food out all the time with Mika to graze on but when Rosso came along I had to stop it cos he just doesn't seem to be able to regulate himself, he will just eat and eat and eat.... Louise did warn me that he was food obsessed but hoped it would calm down a bit when he came to me and didn't have to compete with his brothers and sisters for food, I will check back with her to see how the others are doing now x

Have you mentioned this to the vet? Ruling out inadequate intake of food, which I'm sure isn't the case! it needs to be considered within the context of his digestive problems. Sometimes this can point to pancreatic problems even where owing to decreased enzyme production food essentially remains undigested. Not saying he has this but just emphasising the importance of informing the vet. My own cat had a similar ravenous appetite owing to intestinal inflammaton/pancreatitis which interfered with absorbtion of nutrients, which cleared once the underlying problems were addressed.
