I think that's where I went wrong. I was all proud of myself that the grooming was going well, and then realised that I hadn't been grooming deep enough

Honestly, she's my first coonie and I must have been so lucky with her. She's so gentle and puts up with all the grooming without a fuss! Such a sweet sweet little girl. I've put my name down for another and I'm sure a fiesty little kitten won't be quite as accommodating as her

I don't suppose you're in Warwickshire, are you

Re: What's in your Coonie/Raggie grooming kit?

Benji doesn't really need doing yet but I do it to get him used to the comb. Storm is also really easy to take care of, he rarely knots and if he does it's in one of the four "armpits" but are dead easy to get out. He thinks the comb is a toy so I'm glad he doesn't have a really long coat like many coonies but is quite silky instead

A lot of Coonie suffer from greasy coats, one product which is very good is Groomer Goop , it works wonders

Fraid not even close, I'm in Wiltshire Definitely agree about starting as you mean to go on, little and often etc, I've had to groom Maine Coons who havent been used to grooming from an early age and their coats have been let go
