Unhappy Pandora has a poorly nose..

Came home yesterday and noticed something was wrong with Pan's nose, on closer inspection, I presumed he'd either been swiped at or bashed his nose but there was a small 'chunk' missing. I kept an eye on it, but it was definitely worse this morning - I imagine it's getting worse the more he licks it with his abrasive tongue!

We'll be popping him to the vets tomorrow if it continues to worsen - but I just wondered if anyone had come across anything like this before? I'm only guessing that it started with a small cut, but it could be something else? It doesn't look as bad in the photo as it does in real life.. From a side view, it really is quite caved in I've been describing it to people as 'if he was a human, I'd say he'd had a long history of cocaine abuse!'.

Oh dear, poor baby I imagine it would be quite sore. Sorry I can't offer any advice but I would get the vet to have a look

Re: Pandora has a poorly nose..

Well he went to see the vet this morning, who said it's more than likely evolved from a scratch (it was deeper again this morning ) and this is how he's being treated for it, but there is a chance it could be viral and if we start seeing any discharge or blood then to take him back in.

So he's doped up now on a shot of Metacam and Duphamox with Metacam follow up to start tomorrow and Clavaseptin tablets to start on Sunday. Poor little monkey.. Looks like he'll be eating on his own for a while!

Poor boy I hope it isn't more serious than a scratch and he takes his meds nicely

He thanks you for your compliments but says he doesn't feel it with his weepy nose at the moment

He also says that everyone only calls him beautiful because Mummy named him after a girl!

Mummy thinks he's very beautiful too
