Cerio is on a distinguished road
Bad breath and cough

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. For about 3 weeks my cat has had what seems like a cold. She sneezes and coughs and it is becoming more regular. On top of that she has really bad breath. We thought at first it was a hairball but it seems to have gone on too long for that. I didn't want to take her to the vets unless it's completely necesary because of the cost! Thanks

Re: Bad breath and cough

Sorry Cerio.....but it IS necessary to take her to the vet, and without delay. She may have something lodged in her nose or throat and quite clearly it is not going away on it's own.

Forget-me-not will become famous soon enough
Re: Bad breath and cough

I agree with Paddypaws. It could be a foreign object or cat flu. Either way, she needs to be seen by a vet.

Re: Bad breath and cough

3 weeks is a long time to allow your cat to suffer this cough ect.It is a visit to the vet with out delay as far as I'm concerned .Your cat depends on you for her every need,so get her to the vet tomorrow to have this sorted.
