Looks like I got off pretty well then, I managed to avoid the explosion with the kitchen floor taking the brunt. I guess it can happen with most manufacturers. Obviously Bozita has had problems in the past, I remember Natures Menu had a problem a bit ago too and I've lost count of the number of 'blown' pouches I've seen in supermarkets.

Ooh... I'm worried now

I had a few cans like that but assumed it was meant to be like that (where it sort of exploded out when it opened) or it was due to the dented cans. It hasn't ever smelt bad though - well, no bad than cat food can usually smell. Grau tends to smell quite strong anyway

Will check my batch number though!

Trust me, there is NO mistaking it when it is bad! I still pause for a second when the Bozita cans are seemingly full and bubble over somewhat when opened, but it is not the same thing as the explosion.
