Exclamation Cat puking even on raw food!!! Help!

Ok i thought i had it solved. I thought it was comercial foods that was making rogue sick.

But this morning i found a puddle of GREEN puke. He hasnt eaten anything green and then he clawed my house mates huge pershian rug to bits to try bury it. He has had that rug for over 20 years (he is gonna kill me )

Now i no that isnt normal. He loved the mince to start with. He ate 120g in one sitting yesterday morning (i honestly didnt think he would eat it all in one go!). I put taurine (disolved in water as directed) in the next meal and he refused to touch it for the rest of the day (he ate it before with it in though the day before) and still refused to eat it today. I left it down whilst i went upstairs and came back down a couple hours later and found he ate a small amount and puked it up again but it was green?

He does give the odd sqeaky cough. usually 1-5 times in a row.

I have just put dry down since anything is making him sick.

Does this mean its a furball? Im out of ideas now. Do i try a furball rememdy?

Help!

I think your cat needs to be seen by the vet.

Yes I would agree and ask for an alternative vet.

Re: Cat puking even on raw food!!! Help!

My cats usually have a type of squeaky cough before bringing up a hairball but without seeing this it's hard to tell if this is the cause. Have you noticed any mats of hair at all in the vomit?

How is he in general? Does he seem ok? Has he been going to the toilet ok?

Personally I would go straight back to your vet, asap if this has been going on for a while. You could even take a sample of the vomit with you to show him/her.

He is active. Bombing around the house with skunk at top speed playing. drinking if fine and when i put the dry or smilla down he pigs out. He just wouldnt eat the rabbit.

Maby he just went off it.

He does seem a little constipated. He doesnt seem to be pooping alot.

Will try a hairball remedy i think. He does his little cough several times a day. Nothing major or so i thought. Im thinking this is linked.

Will ring vets anyway i thinks

The green pigment sounds like he's vomiting bile. Was this his first meal of the day? It could be the food or he may even have a bacterial infection.

I think you need to take him back to the vets. Apart from intestinal thickening and masses, digestive problems like this cannot be identified on the basis of a physicial examination alone.
