Bozita - best one to buy?
Which is the best Bozita to buy? I have been looking at the various types on the Zooplus website and I wasn't sure which one is best, as some people have said the tetrapaks are better, and others have said to avoid them.
![]() The kittens really like this one: Bozita Canned Food 6 x 410 g (the chicken flavour) but I'm not sure that it's the better quality one if the tetrapaks are meant to be better. ![]() Although we are feeding Grau, Macs, Granatapet, Lily's Kitchen and some raw, we also want to include a cheaper food in the rotation to reduce the overall costs a little. Would appreciate some tips on which Bozita is the best. ![]()

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
My experience with the tetra packs mean I'm with those who say avoid.
Barring #3 cat, Max, the others aren't fussy eaters and wolfed down the tins of Bozita I used to get, but when I gave them the reindeer pate flavour pate, they looked at me as tho' I'd given them the cheapest dog food possible. Even the strays I was feeding at the time turned their noses up at it as well, all of which was bad enough, but I'd bought a large-ish amount based on how popular the tins were. I asked neighbours if their cats liked it by letting them have a single pack to try out, but not one cat would touch it, so as I couldn't even give it away it ended up being binned. That so many cats refused to eat it, no matter how hungry some of them were, suggests I'd perhaps got a bad batch, needless to say, it was never ordered again. Ian

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
GM is right, the pate tetrapacks are the best nutritionally.
However, since I started feeding GranataPet, PetNetur and Pfotenliebe Arnold wont eat the Bozita either which I'm actually not too sad about because in all honesty it looks absolutely vile, I can't really describe it it just turns my stomach. If youre open to suggestions and seeing as you'll be ordering the Macs from Germany anywaythen maybe try TigerCat which works out pretty cheap and I think is of similar if not better quality than Bozita. Even PetNatur and GranataPet don't work out that expensive really and I'm pretty sure would be cheaper than Lilly's Kitchen which although is organic, is expensive for what it is ![]() Edit: Just realised you're feeding GranataPet already, in which case I would probably replace the Lilly's Kitchen with another German brand and get the most out of your shipping charges.

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
Mine are much pickier with it, especially the tins I have left, but they do still eat the tetra packs.
Weird about you saying it looks horrible, I agree, a bit watery and slimy, but the pfotenliebe I tried looked a LOT worse to me hahah! My cats looked at me like I was the devil and slunk off lmao I won't be buying anymore Bozita I don't think after this, gonna stick to animonda for my 'cheap' food, and do a big order from Germany soon!

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
Maybe we'll stick with the Animonda Carny then. I was going to stop buying Bozita as it doesn't look that appealing to me either, but the kittens seem to really love it. Then again, they love Animonda Carny too.
I really love Lily's Kitchen but I agree it is expensive. ![]() Oh and we were going to order TigerCat but Floyds was all out of it and we were doing the order from there. Maybe next time. ![]()

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
Speaking of animonda, has any tried the kitten veal? I got some to try them on the veal or, it smells so, metallic, and it makes their poos smell really irony and metallic too..
is that normal or is that just what veal is like?

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
I'm giving the salmon flavour just to have some fish in Ari's diet (she refuses to eat Smilla Tuna and Sardines). I was giving the shrimp flavour as well but I read somewhere here that it can cause flatulence, so... no thanks. She likes both paté flavours.

Re: Bozita - best one to buy?
I bought around 4 months worth of Bozita and Animonda Carny a while back, and our eldest really didn't get on with either, so it sat in the shed and we went back to Hi-Life.
However, since getting the new kitten we're trying to get monthly cat costs down to less than £100 for the both of them so gave it another go over the last 3 weeks. They have now been fully on Bozita and Animonda for 2 weeks now, and they love it! However, our eldest doesn't like Animonda that has been kept in the fridge, although she doesn't mind other foods stored in that way which seems odd. As for Bozita, the Pate is great and a lot easier to dispense than other pate type foods, it seems to require less mashing. My favorite to feed at 6 am are the jelly tetrapaks as I can do it with my eyes half open and with minimum effort, plus the tetrapaks are easy to close and pop in the fridge. A few people have commented on how Bozita looks and to be honest it doesn't look like a sunday dinner, but then neither does a twitching rabbit carcass or a disemboweled duck, each of which would be devoured wholeheartedly by our two. Lucky enough I don't have to eat the stuff, but the cats seem to have no problem whatsoever. Applaws looks great if you're looking for something to have in your sandwich though. ![]()
