Feeding my kittens!

Hi there,
I am the very proud owner of two gorgeous 10 week old kittens, Ben and Jerry.
I have been feeding them Whiskas Kitten dry food during the day and wet at night.
This is what their previous owner fed them. However, after reading up a bit I am worried
this is not good for them! Could anyone recommend a good dry and wet kitten food for my babies?
Thank you!!

Re: Feeding my kittens!

top sticky in this section called a-z has loads of info

only buy small amounts at first - my local pet shop sell individual sachets of many of the better foods - have them eat at least 2 before buying bulk, mine recently went off a couple so i've been giving boxes away!

and sure you know this, but the change needs to gradual - mix old & new at first

Re: Feeding my kittens!

Whiskas Kitten or cat food is not the best food out there but is perfectly fine to feed your kittens on. However if you have a large budget and want to feed a better food then both Royal Canin and Hills are very good foods they both have wet and dry food that can be fed to kittens.

The only thing I will say is that they will need to be carefully changed over onto the new food. Any sudden changes can have a serious implication to your kittens sensitive digestion resulting in very upset tummies and poorly kittens.

Good luck and just remember if you cant afford to change to an expensive food then Whiskas or other cheaper brands are fine to be fed.
