Question What age is my kitten fully grown?

Just wanted to check as i was told once my kitten gets her fangs then she is fully grown.
Well if this is true then i have one tiny iddy biddy cat.
I mean she eats a lot 2/3 pouches a day and then dry food is down for her all day.
When my parents came round to see her they said she doesnt seem to have grown either.
I think i should take her to the vets or am i just worried for no reason?

Re: What age is my kitten fully grown?

Some cats just mature later than others - i don't think it's something you should worry about too much x

My DSH boy took until he was about 5-6 years old to actually not look kitten like anymore - his mother was an abandoned kitten who was left to get pregnant and then left to have them on her own while the cruel owners moved away and left her! she was a small girl so i guess he just took his time as she was so young x
he's 6-7 years old now and looks full grown but it took a fair while lol xx

Thats good to know i dont know what start to life she had and i did think they had got her age wrong when i got her.
They said she was nearly 5 months old but she looked more like the 12 week old kittens they bought in when we viewed her.
Its just funny to think if she doesnt grow anymore im gonna have a little tiny fur baby forever.

Re: What age is my kitten fully grown?

I find that mine seem to grow all of a sudden - coonies get big very quickly anyway and don't stop growing until they are about 4.

My moggies are all different though - Socks our neuter boy is enormous, Lily is very delicate and stopped growing at about 6 months and Ruby is very, very stocky but not particularly big.

I guess all cats are different

yeah i guess i was just worried about her wanted to check here first before taking her to the vet and him think i am going absolutely bonkers.
She does seem to be "beefing out" but not growing, when i frist got her she was very gangly and not steady on her feet.
Now she is starting to resemble a pit bull version of a cat

Sounds like she is doing great then! I'm sure you have nothing to worry about
