Re: My Cat is having FITS. Advice needed!
When you mention his urinary problems was he actually blocked or was it just a case of him only passing small amounts? Has this other problem only developed since this. Weve his kidneys OK afterwards if a blockage occurred?
Sounds more like a seizure than a fit. I would take him and the video evidence straight back to the vet who will investigate the underlying cause. |

Re: My Cat is having FITS. Advice needed!
thanks for your comments, i did exactly what you said and took him straight to the vet. there was nothing the vet could do as he was pratically weeing inside himself and the toxins were poisoning his blood, he was unfortunatly put to sleep. R.I.P TIM
He had a visit last week due to him not being able to pass urine, the vet said to change his food from dry to wet, and he was given an injection with this advice, i have no information about this as its my mums cat and i was just tryin to gather information 4 her. Thanks for all your comments, big pity about the outcome |

Re: My Cat is having FITS. Advice needed!
Oh no! This is both incredible and tragic. When I enquired earlier about high bloodword it did occur to me that the toxin build-up might be responsible for the seizures. I can't imagine what the poor cat endured.
A blocked cat is a medical emergency and frankly I cannot understand ANY vet sending a cat away a cat in this condition given the history. It's incredibly easy to detect a full bladder on physical examination. |
