what do you think?

Hi guys just thought I would ask for you opinions.

My Siamese girl Vogue has always been a bit of a pain in the nether regions when it comes to feeding.

Her tastes can change like the wind, one variety of food which she might eat today she wont eat tomorrow. My cupboards are well stocked with so many variety of foods I feel like a pet store

I normally try to not let her her frustrate me but she has kittens at the moment and Im worried that she just isnt eating enough and is starting to look a little poor.

I do feed raw a few times a week and alternate between chicken wings, prawns, and fish.

Well today I tried something else... Polly our moggy cat brought in a dead bird this morning and Vogue ate the lot. so Ive been out today and bought her some frozen mice. She played with them first then ate everything, and now im thinking of stocking up on frozen mice, day old dead chicks etc, I will still feed chicken wings, prawns etc. Just thought I would ask you guys for your opinion

Re: what do you think?

Thought I'd reply since no-one else has...

I know what you mean about the feeding, Bayley is a bit like that (loves it one day, hates it the next)...think I've kept eBay in cat food over the last few months.

With regard to your new plan, I can't offer much of an opinion really (sorry ) as I don't know whether these are good things to be feeding, although I can't see why they wouldn't be. I would have thought that as long as she's eating (especially at the minute with kittens) it's a good thing.

Hobbs2004 seems to know a lot about food, but not sure if her knowledge extends to this - might be worth asking.

Re: what do you think?

Sorry - missed this earlier. I think there are some people on here that feed mice and chicks - I think it's called 'prey diet'. I've looked at it but I don't think I have sufficient freezer space as you need to buy in quite large quantities.
Mai Tai is a fussy eater too, especially when in kitten and feeding them but I have discovered she will devour raw and soon regains condition on a raw diet. I use the Natural Instinct raw - now available from a local pet chain too which makes it even better for me not having to buy so much.
Good luck with Vogue

Re: what do you think?

Arnold eats prey, I'd like him to eat more raw really but the butchers here are a bit rubbish and Arnold wont touch Darlings minced (havent tried NI yet) but he loves his prey.

You don't need to buy mountains of it, there are places that sell it online where you don't have to buy massive quantities, or if you have a reptile shop near you then they will have chicks and mice. I've seen frozen hamsters for sale too I'm not sure I could do that though.
