Re: NI mince questions

Good suggestion from Moggybaby above, I feed Bozita and Animonda and the cats much prefer both when mushed up with a good slug of hot water especially when the opened can has been in the fridge.

I then tried adding warm water to it before putting it down..... Well after that, they just SCOFFED it up like you wouldn't believe!!!!! I now add approx 2 dessert spoons per 200g'ish to each dish at meal times and have had no further problems.

I think the good food is just SO dense that it could be a bit of hard work for some cats and the extra water helps to combat that problem. It certainly seemed to be with case with mine.

I hope that it helpful for you.
Ooooh, many thanks will definitely give that a go!!!

Re: NI mince questions

OOPS!!!!!

Got me calculations a bit off sorry - make that 2 dessert spoons per 100g'ish. Or as PP says - A good slug of hot water!!!! Just enough to soften up and make a wee tiny bit gloopy.

It's like making porridge for Goldilocks in this house! Nellie used to like 'Bozita Soup', Paddy likes his a bit mushy whereas Mitzy doesn't like too much gravy at all!

My three are all quite good when it comes to food tbh. Once I added the water, they were quite happy with the Smilla & Bozita. Have ordered some Animonda Carny today to try them on that. Consistency-wise they are happy with it being a wee bit gloopy but they will insist on tasting ALL of the bowls just to ensure that no-one is getting something different!!!

Thank goodness none of them require a specialist diet!!!!

Re: NI mince questions

Looks like we are on to a winner

Jango has eaten almost 200g of NI mince today (greeder porker) so I don't think I need to be worried about his appetite!!

Is there really no risk I am going to overfeed him...?

My boys would easily eat 400g of it a day, and at the moment are knocking back 400-600g (I thought they were eating less but I forgot my boyfriend also feeds them on a morning...)

So no, definitely not overfeeding him at 200g!
