Re: new kitten not eating....

In line with what Lumboo has said, it's not abnormal for them to sleep a bit more on odd days, and sleeping more means they won't always eat the same amount. Kittens do this manic hour or two, then pass out to sleep for an hour or so, then another manic time, then sleep, so on and so forth. So it does seem like they sleep a lot! Benji did have the odd day when he didn't eat as much, that was when he was sleeping or way too busy doing kitten-business l(i.e. naughty stuff) to have time to eat.

Re: new kitten not eating....

Although I personally think that a cat should only be released to its new home at 12 weeks, I wouldn't comdemn or "have a go" at anyone with many years experience in doing so...

The way I see it, breeders know their cats better in their first weeks of life more than anyone and therfore, I would say, are qualified to make a descision regarding the age when they go to their forever home.

ashleyg - if you have years experience and have never had a problem, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
