300 gram difference in weight?!

I've been weighing Benji daily since we got him as the vet was slightly concerned he wasn't gaining in line with what mc's usually would. He has been gaining beautifully and last night weighed 2.62 kilos. I've just weighed him and he is now 2.3?! He is eating, drinking, going to the loo and playing just like usual. I can't for the life if me account for such a huge loss? I even reset the scales and did it again!

Anybody got any ideas?

Re: 300 gram difference in weight?!

Scales weren't wrong yesterday as he has been faultlessly gaining 50 grams a day ( apart from the days he has a growth spurt and gains over 100g!) so his weight was in line with that yesterday.
Surely a poop can't weigh 300 grams either?!

Sounds like you've had him on my scales.. I miraculously lost 8 lbs overnight once!

Edited because I hit enter and posted before I'd finished the post

Teething, I think. Bertie had this. Watched him put the weight back on and more after a week. See my graphs on the MC forum.

He may appear to be eating, but if you are free feeding dry he will not be eating as much as before.

Re: 300 gram difference in weight?!

Doh!!! Don't I feel like I live up to the blonde stereotype now! I didn't check and make sure scales stood even, apparently weighed him on a tilt as one of the feet was standing on the edge of a teatowel! OH pointed it out, weighed him again and he is 2.75 right after having his dinner

Don't I feel stoopid?

Blondes? I'm sitting on the sofa typing this, a blonde on each side of me. OK, OK, they are not human or female either. :-P

Right, time to get ready to leave - new job starts today. Good luck with using the scales ;-)
