microchip

Hi all, its been a while since i posted, Toby was neutered on wednesday, whilst under i also asked for him to be micro chipped, as i did intend to have him as a house cat but every opportunity he is trying his best to get out (although i have done my best to keep him in til he is ready)
Anyway he is doing great since his op, only until tonight i noticed him to be restless as i stroked him i felt a small hard lump, only to notice his chip was half in and half out, it must have been so uncomfortable for him, i just hope that it doesnt get infected, i rang the vets and cant get him in til monday, ive explained how unhappy i am about this im now worried as to have it done again or just leave it, just wondered what your oppinions are?

Thanks for reading

Re: microchip

I would certainly get it done again but I would ask for your money to be refunded and it done again for free!!

Re: microchip

Ouch, that sounds painful - Thought it was something so simple they couldn't mess it up!

Definitely wouldn't be happy with that and would also be asking for it to be redone with a full refund included.

Re: microchip

Poor Toby.
I would not be very pleased
Maybe get the vet to take it out and let the neck heal before having it done again.

Are there more vets at the practice? If so I would more inclined to use a different vet.

I think Toby will need lots of hugs and treats over the week end.
xx for Toby.

Re: microchip

Poor little mite you must be so upset to see it. Both Mum and I have new kittens who are intended to be indoor cats. We decided microchipping was a good idea because you never know if they are going to nip past you despite all your watchfulness.

That's quite a scary thought though. Hope you get him sorted soon

Re: microchip

Sorry for the late reply; i did get him sorted he had to be chipped again, the vet did apologise to me and to Toby. Did not cause to much stress to Toby,he's had the new chip a week now and it has not seemed to have moved as im always checking.
