Question The best kitten food on Zooplus?

We've been feeding our little Sprite Natures Menu which he loves but I've just been notified from the manufacture that they are increasing prices and sure enough the cheapest I can get it for online, for 12 100g pouches is going to be £5.25 a box without postage come August 1st.

Therefore, I've got my eye on Zooplus and I'm planning on taking advantage of their new customer 10% off offer.

Can someone tell me which is the best kitten food (he is 12 weeks/3 months this Saturday) I can get on Zooplus? We've been feeding him 1 and a half pouches of Natures Menu and it seems to be just right for him.

Thanks.

Re: The best kitten food on Zooplus?

Theres no need to feed kitten specific food, it realy limits the choices, is more expensive and is no different

Some really good high meat content brands are bozita, smilla, animonda carny, and grau. Grau is very good but does have grains, which some cats have problems with inc one of mine.

Kittens should have unlimited food, and should be able to eat as much as they want. My kittens were easily knocking back 400g a day when they were younger, so do not limit his food if he is happy to eat more. 150g doesnt seem much but if he isnt hungry for more, then obviously he doesnt need more, but dont limit him to 150 if he will eat more.

We have been feeding him 4 times a day which will go down to 3 a day soon but sometimes he does finish his food in one sitting and I'm not sure if to refill it or leave him till his next meal time.. Any advice would be helpful.

Additionally, why do they sell Kitten food if it isn't needed?

EDIT: Grau now has NEW grain free!

Money money money moneeeeey

Compare the ingredients, theres very little difference. They are still cats after all, and if feeding a good adult food there is no need to feed a kitten variety.

If he eats it all in one go, let him have more. I'd be tempted to feed him 1 punch 3 times a day, and then if he is still hungry for more, another pouch. 150g honestly seems quite low to me for a kitten, but then maybe mine are monsters.

Its more expensive the grain free, and grau is one of the higher priced foods already, and I think considering the price hike it makes foods from Germany more appealing to me, personally

It seems to be cheaper to me, no? 100g grain-free is £5.49 but the stuff with grains is £5.95?

Re: The best kitten food on Zooplus?

Hmmm looks like a pricing error on the 100g tins. The grain free 200g is a lot more.

Your right! He's full of life now but I don't want him going hungry. Can you suggest an item in particular? I'd rather skip on my "treats" and get him some good grub.

Re: The best kitten food on Zooplus?

I have fed all of those brands from Zooplus, but my cats arent big fans of Smilla and the grain in Grau has caused issues.

I am personally in process of moving over to some German brands, which ship to the UK for about £7 for quite a lot so really not too bad overall, but it is a bit more of a faff to order.

I still feed animonda from zooplus, and occasionally Bozita. I also feed NI mince as around half of their food intake. Its a raw mince and my cats absolutely adore it, and it has done wonders for firming up their poos, which were occasionally runny on bozita.
