Re: Judder has liver failure

Eating and purring when having cuddles are very good signs

That's great. Maybe you can have your beloved furbabe home soon. I know how worrying it is when they are at the vet. I often think it's worst for us left at home than it is for them. My tummy is usually in knots all the time and I am a wreck every time the 'phone rings.

Thanks for the update - it's cheered me up on this very grey and rainy day!!

Hugs

Lumps and her fur family xxx

Re: Judder has liver failure

Not good news Guys,
not long got back from seeing judder and he's taken a turn for the worse. They were all ready to send him home earlier and then he collapsed. The vet thinks as the liver is failing the toxins have got to his brain. She called to say He was dying and if I wanted to see him I should go straight away. When I got there he was sat up but looking vacant. We got him out and he had a bit of a rub on me but wasnt purring and didnt seem all there. The vet suggested putting him on a drip to tr and flush the toxins out. During this Judder got really stressed and started mouth breathing and wailing. The then went all floppy again so they popped him back in his kennel to chill out.
Its not looking good for him, they are gonna keep me informed but im not very hopefull.

xxxxxxxx

Re: Judder has liver failure

I just spoke to the vets and he now seems a bit brighter! I felt awfull when the phone rang as I was expecting bad news!
The nurse said he is sat up looking happier and has just eaten a bowl of whiskas.
We are going in at 6 for cuddle although who knows what state he will be in by then. I have no idea where I am at the mo, one min im expecting to arrive to find him dead and the next min hes eating! Im a nervous wreck I can tell you.

xxxxxxxx

Re: Judder has liver failure

How incredibly stressful for you. I hope you have a nice cuddle with your furbabe. It sounds like the vet staff are really taking good care of him for you. It's good that he is eating.
