Raw To Go part 2

Didn't want to hijack someone elses thread but just had a look at the site and I MUST be reading it wrong because it seems ridiculously cheap to me, even with delivery. Don't suppose anyone wants to give it a go for me so I can see if I was right or not? Basically thinking 6 cats at 4kg, eating 2% of their body weight = £? a day? From what I thought, it seems very doable, the only problem would be the freezer space but we would just invest in a chest freezer in that case. Thanks

That's what I USED to pay until Food4Cats went out of business. It works out about 22p-30p a day per cat. Great value. See the thread I just posted to Howdlaloom (sp)

2% is at the lower end. I personally would say aim for 2.5 or 3%. Also don't forget that 4 of your cats are kittens who can eat however much raw they want. So, if they want to eat a pound of raw a day each then they cat.

IF you had 6 adult cats, and say you went for a food that costs £0.50 per pound than feeding your 6 adult cats at 2.5% a day would be £0.11 per cat day.

But as said, you have kittens so they will cost more for their first year of life.

Great shame that
I've been using the Natural Instinct but I'm going to give Raw to Go a try. It does seem so much better value. If it's as good as Food4Cats was I will be very pleased

I've been mixing and matching and feeding the dog NI - but the difference in price is too good not to give r2g a go.

Difference between F4C was that you knew what you were feeding - you don't with DAF minces (but you all know my take on that food....)

Re: Raw To Go part 2

Hobbs ... I reckon you should start making raw for cats to sell. I'm sure you could do it for the same prices as DAF/RTG but be 100% confident on what the bags contain. How about it?

I feel slightly guilty for the sudden interest in DAF/RTG today, and I know you don't like it as much as other choices. Please forgive me?

PMSL! Oh believe me I have thought about it many a times. I would do minces in different types of coarseness, chunks etc but TBH making the stuff for my cats is enough!

Re: Raw To Go part 2

Ahh now you can't tempt my girls with such lovely ideas! Tinks read that and her eyes lit up with the idea of juicy chunks!

She's trotted of in a grump now that she read the rest. How could you do it to them?

But seriously, you would be one amazing supplier if you did!
