can fish give cats the squits as i would like to avoid any litter tray disasters if possble?
It can, yes. I had 2 kittens from last years litter that were sick & had the runs every time they ate fish So just had to give them something else away from the others if I put fish down.

Re: fish

I give mine Coley, they love it, and if you have a shop called Cool Trader near you, they do they frozen blocks of 4 for 99 p, that's half the price of most places.

Re: fish

Thanks they had coley at the fish market today, quite a good price for fresh fish. But will have a look out for Cool Trader, I've not heard of it before.
