I don't actually limit what my kitten eats, I just take notice of the amount she eats and keep it at that until she wants more. I guess it's easier for me to do that, though, seeing as I only have one cat.

ok. sorry did i quote you to make you feel i was saying you did? you said you weigh yours out so you know what they are eating and adjust it as needed no? so how is that limiting? i'm confused as to why you have quoted me? i only replied saying that i don't like limiting food because it causes bad habits, i.e. leaving not enough food down and letting it go empty and not feeding again until meal times which could be with some people when they get home. so all day in some cases. i think kittens should have unlimited feed just as they would with mum so they can eat til their full know what full feels like and walk away. other wise they will pick up the habit of not feeling full and scarfing down what ever they get when ever they get it. but i didn't think that was what you said you were doing? i think you have taken my reply too personal, please don't feel it was that way as it wasn't.

Exclamation Re: How much to feed?

Hi, Erbs! No, I wasn't thinking you were directing your comment specifically to me. I just thought I'd make it clearer that I don't actually limit my kitten's food, in case everyone here thought I was being a stingy Mum that wouldn't give her what she needs. The only reason I quoted you, was because it was in response to something you'd said. No hard feelings meant!
