Happy Cat Renal Biccies

I've ordered some Happy Cat renal biscuits for Oscar, but have been advised not to feed them as they contain wild garlic which your suppposed to avoid with CRF cats.

I didn't even think to look at the ingrediants

Surely a manufacturer wouldn't sell something that was marketed for a specific disease and put something detrimental in it or am I being naive??

Re: Happy Cat Renal Biccies

I doubt very much that this food contains a lot of garlic to make much of a difference. The total herb content in this food, of which garlic is one, is 0.12%, so not a lot.

If you look at Tanya's website then you will see that of all of the non-prescription dry foods, this one contains the least phosphorus, protein, sodium etc.

Personally, I would choose wet over dry.

Thanks Hobbs.

He is having a wet diet, I just leave a small amount of biccies down so he has something to graze on during the day.
