Best food you can get from Zoo Plus!!
Hi there
Well Dexter is 15 weeks old now but is still dinky!! had him weighted last week and his is 1.7kg. From what i have gathered this is quite small for his age. I think i need some better food for him, I was feeding him on a combo of Mac's (free smaples i got from them), pets at home kitten and just nature. I would love to continue feeding him Mac's all the time but seeing as its not yet avalible here and the postage cost are a fair amount, i thought i would ask what you think is a good food i can get from ZooPlus. replys much apreciated. Thanks ![]() |

Re: Best food you can get from Zoo Plus!!
The best one is probably Grau Gourmet, Bozita is pretty good too as well as Smilla.
Have you looked at Macīs Katze Nassfutter the postage is quite a lot but for me, just with one cat it still works out cheaper than others on Zooplus.

I would say that Grau Gourmet and Terra Fellis are probably about the best you can buy on Zooplus, although IMO the Terra Fellis isn't worth the extra cost over the likes of Grau, Animonda Carny, Bozita pate etc.

Re: Best food you can get from Zoo Plus!!
I wouldn't panic about that weight, as long as he's healthy and active. Kitten weight is something I've been researching in a general sort of way, but from the other end of the scale, with our Popeye shaping up to be a Big Boy. The rule of thumb seems to be an average of about a pound per month of kitten age, and 1.7kg converts to 3.75lb, so your boy is pretty much spot on if he's just coming up to four months old. And you have to remember that's an average, with some kittens coming up considerably lighter and some considerably more heavy..... just as some of them will end up being dainty little cats, and some of them will be HUGE.

Re: Best food you can get from Zoo Plus!!
Just to demonstrate how contrary cats can be, mine are the most unfussy cats ever ... but Hi-Life would sit on the floor hours before they would get desperate enough to eat it. It was a bit like trying to force the kids to eat greens because it's good for them. They always puked a lot with Hi-Life as well.
They now have a variety of Animonda, Grau and Bozita, enjoy it, and hardly ever bring it back up. |

Re: Best food you can get from Zoo Plus!!
My Benji is 15 weeks old tomorrow and clocks in at 1.9 kilos, but he is a MC so should be about 200-300 grams heavier for his age. He will eventually catch up and he is happy and well in himself which is the important thing. What breed is yours? Don't forget moggy males weigh in at around 3-5.5 kilos depending on size.
Ems x
