Re: Should I set up an online shop?

Would you consider also sending to Spain? I find it so difficult to get good food here, always ordering for my Merlin Mojito.

Merlin12, while Greentea is doing her sums, have you explored zooplus.es: Accesorios y alimentos para mascotas, tienda para mascotas online zooplus They stock foods that aren't half bad. Alternatively, you could always email the German shops that people here are using to see whether they would send to Spain too.

Re: Should I set up an online shop?

I certainly would, but with the currency conversion from Euro to £s, then £s back to Euros to send to Spain it probably wouldn't work out very cost effective, if you can get them direct from the manufacturers the chances are it would be cheaper

Re: Should I set up an online shop?

I wish I could say I'd be interested...but it turns out Bayley is a Bozita freak If there's anything else in his bowl (even if it looks & smells exactly the same), he won't go anywhere near it...it's quite funny watching him try to avoid his bowl cos it's right at the bottom of the stairs (which come into my kitchen) and he's desperate not to go near bowl

Re: Should I set up an online shop?

Hobbs, I´ve been shopping at zooplus even before I had Merlin. However they still dont have the best (plus Merlin seems to enjoy low quality food for some reason only known to him). I find that in USA they have so many complete varieties of wet food. At the moment I´m ordering through a friend there who sends them to me (I spent 50 euros on the shipping cost). I just want more alternatives but thanks.

Ok, slight thread diversion. Merlin, I just saw your other post on the A-Z thread

Then I got in touch with a vet in USA completely against dry food (very logical reasoning), so I changed him to Taste of the Wild dry (less carbs) and I went and ordered Merrick and Wellness (68 tins) from USA, I live in Spain so I spent like a 100 euros in buying and shipping. It arrived this week and Merlin refused to eat it (any of it). I have been giving him wet food twice a day, Schesir, Hills, Defu, Porta 21, Applaws and Sheba. He also refuses to eat the Terra Feklis I bought. I think he doesn´t like pate a lot. I´m so tired of reading wonderful comments about food and I really want to get him on good quality stuff. I have contacted a cat rescue shelter to donate my extra tins. This is really frustrating as in Spain I can´t get good quality cat food. Please help with advice.

Flipping heck, hun, you have a similar variety of complete wet food in Europe. . But I guess it may be a language barrier that is holding you back from accessing those.

Sorry, I have got no idea what foods you have in Spain. If you want to try some of the German foods (Macs, Petnatur, TigerCat, Granatapet etc etc - these are just the tip of the iceberg, there are many many more that I have even mentioned here) that I am talking about than check out the links to the German online shops that sell these to see whether they send them to other European countries and at what cost. Or contact the manufacturers directly to see whether they can help you (contact details in the A-Z and most, if not all, speak English).

There is also this site, which sells Nature's Variety and other foods that send to Spain: https://ssl.kundenserver.de/www.cats...dex.shopscript

But all of these good foods, just like the US ones, are pate foods but your cat doesn't seem to like those a lot (have you tried mixing them in SLOWLY with the food he likes and then over time increasing the amount of the food you want him to eat? Or have you tried crushing up his fav treats and sprinkling them on top?). Otherwise, you have got Grau on zooplus that is good (whether it stays good come September we will have to wait and see).

Have you tried Bozita in chunks in sauce/jelly, which looks a lot like the Merrick food I have seen (though they also do pate food, does he eat it from that brand?).

What's happening to Grau in September?

Re: Should I set up an online shop?

Thanks Hobbs, here in Spain people mostly feed Gourmet, Felix, Lucy etc. People don´t seem to like giving good quality to their cats and they look at me in a very strange way because I keep looking and spending on better foods (they tell me it´s a cat etc). I have ordered a case each of Grau, Animonda, Bozita to see if he likes them and I have found a Ziwipeak distributor in Spain, I have to order and see. I did look at a german site but was completely lost (on Sunday I´m going to a cat rescue that has over 100 cats with 90 something tins of canned food that Merlin did not care for). I just want to find something good and stick with it
