Re: Yuk yuk yuk!

Hobbs.....I apologise Hun for the questions asked in last post.

Have just started to read your stickie and of course it has a section on kittens and Prize choice too

Having to read it bit by bit and over a few times ( takes a while for me to digest new things...(excuse the pun).....and want to get this right.

As I said am nervous about getting it right but am now determined to do this

Thankyou Hobbs. xx

Re: Yuk yuk yuk!

Eh? What are you apologising for hun?

Here is an update on the prize choice minces: Prize Choice freeflow and normal minces

Whereabouts are you in the country? If I remember rightly you are Southish too, aren't you?

While you get your head around raw feeding, you could see whether some of the commercially available minces (Darlings, Natural Instinct)would do her for the time being. Darlings offer an intro parcel. NI have a factory outlet shop but are also stocked by some shops/vets: Links

If you would rather do it yourself but need some more time to get your head around it all, there are some products on the market that help you achieve a balanced diet. Zooplus sells Felini Complete, a powder you add to meat, and some offal or you can get a product called TCPremix from a European Shop based in Germany, again a powder that you need to mix with water and add to meat and liver before freezing it.

Any questions, just ask.

Alternative, or additionally, there are plenty more good commercial foods out there that might be more suited to her.

PS: If I was in your shoes I would still collect some stools for a sample - just to rule out any nasties.

God i have got some many windows opened

Nope mind is made up, I'm going to do this (should have done it ages ago with others and the dogs). Have 2 butchers in surrounding areas so tomorrow am going to go and flutter the eyelashes, maybe show a bit of leg....(on second thought maybe not )...and see what they can do. If not then I'm thinking Raw to Go.

I can't beleive Fleur has just gone and although started of not good the rest was fine She is going to be the death of me that little minx LOL.

Yes Hobbs completely agree, I really do think now is the time to go with the stool sample.

Yes am south. I have hospital this afternoon and am going to stop at the usual place where I get Beardie food etc, They stock all the 'non-supermarket' foods and see if they do NI for time being although they tend to be way over top with prices

Gosh this is hard work. My brain is going into overload with thoughts of different minces, foods, furries ( I read Guinea Pigs ), supplements, etc.

Never thought about giving them mice....beardie has a pinkie once a week.

Re: Yuk yuk yuk!

UPDATE:

Fleur is back on the turkey, rice, bran diet and my mind is made up that I am putting everyone (including dogs) onto raw

I have been debating this for a long time now with the dogs so hey ho lets just do everyone in one go.

Fingers crossed they (and their tums) like it

Found a supplier close by who sells DAF (was really surprised for some reason) and am picking up first lot on Saturday. Am going to buy monthly so just need to work out roughly how much I need to get.

Also to get the Taurine and away we go (I think.....hope I haven't forgotten anything)

Want to say a massive thanks to Hobbs for her fantastic stickie that I have read over and over and proberly will a few times more when Saturday comes

Am also to get a sample of Fleurs poo on Monday to be sent off What a mission that was to get some without litter

So fingers crossed this time next week we will be half way to being another RAW household (poos allowing)
