Cat losing weight

My cat is seeing our vet on Friday but I thought I'd ask here for advice.

My norwegian forest female is 20 months old and weighs around 2.5kg. Recently I've noticed she's looking thinner. I put it down to her losing alot of her winter coat as she did go very fluffy. We also got a kitten a few months ago which really stressed my cat out and they didn't get on for a while.

My kitten, a British blue weighs a kg heavier than my NFC!!!

How much should she be eating? I'm worried I'm not feeding her enough but she eats a bit then wanders off, then comes back later.

She's an indoor cat, very happy and active, no signs of ill health, just the weight loss.

Any advice?

Re: Cat losing weight

My BSH recently seemed to have been losing weight too...so I changed his food He was on dry, now is on wet and is woofing it down (so to speak!) - he's gaining weight, coat looks better and seems generally better
