Stroke

My persian from when I was a kid had a stroke this morning.
My Dad said she's lost the use of her back legs and was very distressed - well of course, she's highly strung and vocal anyway!
He took her to the emergency vet and if there's no change this afternoon she will be pts.
She's 15 and apart from losing a few teeth is in good health before today.

Re: Stroke

Thank you for all your kind words. Diana was pts this afternoon, the vet said it was actually her kidneys, they were so enlarged they were preventing her from using her legs. They tried all they could to help her fight the infection but her body was too overwhelmed and the vet said she wouldn't recover fully so my Dad had to make the decision to let her go. Dad and teenage Sister confirmed that she was showing no signs of illness and scoffed down her tuna dinner last night - she never ate much dry.
After I left home for uni Diana latched onto my Mum and she'd not been the same cat since Mum died in June.
