Re: blood in urine - help :(

Neil, your cat's problem does sound identical to my cat's!

I am hesitant to put Shadow on the FLUTD Hills diet though because her urine was tested negative for crystals. So I don't think it would do any good. Her ultrasound was also clear. So I think it really is cystitis and/or a returning infection.

I have heard that cats like to drink from dripping taps so I think I'll try that once I move in to my new house, seeing as the kitchen/living room will be where she spends most of her day.

Feliway also sounds great, I think if I can find it I'll use some on her if I think there's any time she may get stressed.

This forum is great, people really know their stuff!

Re: blood in urine - help :(

I've ordered Feliway from my vet, they are calling me when it's in on Friday and I'm picking it up on the weekend. Hope it works and makes her feel more calm and at home...

You know, another thing I've noticed since she's had wet food... her nose is always SO wet now and she was even drooling earlier - never seen her do that! Just goes to show how healthy she is. My mum always used to say healthy cat's noses are always really wet. Not that she liked cats, she was allergic to them, lol, that's what she said she'd heard though...
