The frequency of vaccine boosters is something I have questioned for many years - I really cannot see the logic behind it. Humans don't need them in that quantity, so why should our pets.

I have also questioned the effectiveness of multiple vaccines in one jab - I believe this compromises the quality of the vaccines and puts additional strain on a young, under-developed immune system. I also question this for human babies as well as animals.

Must try to remember to pick up the next one next week.

I've always vaccinated every year as this is what was told to me by the vets. I've never been told that having a yearly booster is unnecessary. This year the pets all have to have the booster as they are being boarded while we go on holiday but I don't go on holiday every year so will now think about not going for a yearly booster.

In a previous vaccine debate, quite recently, somebody posted some info that an animal welfare board had stated, that went along the lines of (and I paraphrase here) "if an animal has a booster less than 12 months after getting it's inital injections, it will only need one further booster after that to be immune for life......."

I meant to keep it somewhere safe for future reference and forgot. So if anyone can add more to the above, please can you do so as I would be interested to read more into this.
