Hello Since bringing home my kittens on thursday,My male cat mr wobbley is all fine eating /drinking and using the litter tray however millie is Not eating wet food.as we speak hoorrahh she is using the litter tray.I'm giving her kitten milk and she really enjoys this,I've tried to mash up a little milk with her food but she's not interested do i need to syringe think she is to young i was told they were 8 weeks but me thinks more like 6weeks.but it's just milk she loves it.Do i need to worry as she is quite a lot smaller than mr wobbley.
She is very active when she is awake and gets involved in everything.
Any help would be a great help cheers

Is she eating anything apart from milk? dry food? I'm not an expert but I would ahve thought she would need more than this at even 6 weeks. Kittens need to eat alot and go downhill very quickly if they don't. Hopefully someone who can advise better will be along in a mo.... Hope she starts eating soon

I would stop giving so much milk and maybe mash the food and then let her lick it off your finger, I would also start weighing at the same time every day to make sure she is putting on weight. How often are you offering food as it should be little and often with youngsters.

No dry food either just milk the dry food is out and she knows were it is,Has a smell and feel but not seen her eat any,She watches mr wobbley eat and goes to investigate,I tried the mashing and putting on finger she does not like it.A bit of success this afternoon a tiny amount of milk and wet food eaten this afternoon since then slept for 2 hours woke up had a walk round offered food but she not interested now alseep again...starting to worry now,how ever mr wobbley is sleeping then eating and she is in the same pattern but cant get her to eat..is it time to syringe?little and often is the food intake each time the male eatsshe follows him then i do my bit to help without success.

added after original post..Since making the post about an hr ago. Millie does not want to be touched or interested in any food..she was attached to me since thursday but now Makes such a noise if i try to put her on my lap or attempt to feed her.and whilst she is sitting she can hardly keep her head up and literally where ever she moves she will fall asleep,other kitten goes to say hello she gets up moves away and does the same falls asleep whilst sitting up until she just slouches over...this does not seem normal from a lively cat not eating only having kitten milk,she has eaten wet food today about 6hrs ago nothing since and now she acting strange does not want the attention.

Right well I'd be ringing the vet for advice and getting some good quality wet food, as I think that will be easier to wean her onto and better for her in the long run.

What was she eating at her last home, apart from mums milk?

What weight is she, you definitely need to keep an eye on both kittens weight. At 8 weeks you would want them to be 900g + If they are closer to 6-700g then you are looking at 6 week olds...

If your kitten is refusing to eat wet food I really dont think you will have much luck syringing it in to her esp. if you have not done this before.My advice to you is ,Kittens go down hill very quickly ,and as she has not eaten much at all since you brought her home on Thursday,I think you need to seek advice from a vet,this situation shouldnt be allowed to continue any longer.

Cannot stress this enough, lethargy in kittens this young is NOT good! She needs to be seen by an emergency vet now!

The owner said she is eating whiskas kitten of which i bought but since the way things have been going i don't believe she has anything apart from mums milk,she is very tiny can't weigh them no scales.cheers for all your comments will call the vet.

The vet will weigh her, definitely take note of the weight when they tell you.
