forthglade for cats

Has anybody ever tried this food with their cats? It's a complementary food for dogs but complete for cats.

Forthglade pet food manufacturers

I've ordered a couple of individual packets to see how it goes down here. Between 70 to 80p online for a 395g pouch. Can buy in bulk too.

hmmm, not sure about the "derivatives of vegetable origin"......
quite a reasonable percentage of meat though. Haven't tried it myself (or rather my cats haven't!)

Re: forthglade for cats

To be honest i dont give mine anything like that, if i was to give them all a pouch it would cost more than a whole chicken,

Id rather buy some fresh mince or some chicken wings, 100% meat.

Looks decent enough though, let us know what the cats think of it

Re: forthglade for cats

Thank you for your replies. Dreadful about the poor worker.

I'll let you know how oscar likes it or not. I tried him on fresh (raw) mince the other day(s)...and he wasn't interested in the slightest! He's nearly nine and been living with me for nearly three weeks now and he has the diet he had before. Iams and whiskas. He's had a bit of cooked chicken too.

I don't know what the verdict on dry food is around here but I do know of a vet who refers to it as 'b*llocks' - due to not being the natural way cats eat where they get most of their water through what they eat rather than drinking it seperately. I'm trying to not give him too much iams.

I'll see how the forthglade goes - it's at the top of my budget really. Other premium cat food would be a bit too pricey.
